The African Immigrants Social and Economic Development Agency
(AISEDA) provide a variety of programs and services to assist newly resettled
refugees to enter the economic mainstream and create solid economic futures for
themselves. The overall aim is to strengthen the social and economic well-being
of individuals and the community. Our current programs are focused on teaching
refugees English (ESL), job training and employment services, assisting in job
search and advocacy among the employers, providing driving lessons and
assistance in obtaining drivers’ licenses, instruction in civic responsibilities/Naturalization
classes
and working in partnership with Wells Fargo Bank to
offer financial literacy to refugees to help them become accustomed to banking
practices and smart money management.
Services offered include ESL classes, employment services, civic
education, financial literacy and cultural orientation
