Our Mission

AISEDA creates opportunities to improve the well being of the newly arrived immigrants and refugees. Our mission is To assist all immigrants/refugees to enter into the social and economic life of Greater Fort Wayne and America by creating opportunities to improve their well-being and capabilities for economic self-sufficiency.”

AISEDA is a leading provider of philanthropic activities to improve refugees well being, addressing cultural and linguistic barriers to health care, civic engagement and increasing public awareness and understanding of recent immigrants.


Company Profile

AISEDA is a not-for-profit tax exempt organization that works with both government agencies and other non-profits to focus on several facets for this transition into mainstream society.  AISEDA creates vocational opportunities that can lead to reasonable earnings, job satisfaction and independence from the welfare system. AISEDA also provides  opportunities for free ESL lessons, civic engagement, money management and credit building programs, information and training on affordable home ownership programs. AISEDA also provides cultural competency programs and driver education. AISEDA believes that each immigrant deserves the chance to learn.

 Participants are treated with respect and encouraged to grow in the areas of interacting with others, teamwork, and development of skills. The goal is to create a positive environment that fosters improved self-confidence and self-esteem through group participation in our  programs.

The new Americans from Burma now receives free daily services and support from AISEDA. Services includes: ESL classes, Job development, Civic Education, Financial Literacy, healthcare Coordination, Case management and Advocacy. 

Daily ESL for Job and Naturalization preparation for new Americans from Africa, Burma and Latin America.    

          

The New Americans turned out in record numbers this year to learn English in preparation for Naturalization and Citizenship.

         

AISEDA offers two classes daily to meet the challenges of ESL needs in our community.
